I wouldn't give up Jarivs for Forsberg with an extension. The Canes need the cheap scoring that Jarvis provides with the upcoming cap situation

Understand, I would think if Poile was wanting to move him, he would want either a 1st rounder or promising prospect. Thanks for feedback!

Unless Forsberg is signing an extremely team friendly 3milx6 extension, Canes really wouldn’t be able to afford him outside of being a pure rental. So giving up Jarvis would be a very big no go. I would offer a package of Gunler, Ponomarev, Bokk and 2023 2nd round pick for Forsberg half retained at the deadline. I don’t think any team takes those offers, but Calgary or Colorado would be the most likely of these unlikely trades.

Flames can't afford him without similar salary going back. We have 800k cap space

Avs would have to give up more for forsberg, not one of their top prospects but they probably add in a ranta or Kaut or be competitive value wise. The typical 1st, young nhler and prospect rental price

Laf is untouchable, but just playing along, the Preds would have to add to the deal to get it done.

Just curious, but what makes him untouchable? I understand hes a former 1st round pick but doesn't seem like he's putting up phenomenal numbers. Admittingly, I've only watched a few Rags games this year so I really don't know much about him or how he compliments Kreider/Breadman. Thanks for feedback!

Its a buyers market and a lot would depend on what happens with Giroux and Hertl. There are only a small handful of teams that will trade their 1st rounders and even fewer who need a winger as opposed to defense or center.

You wouldn't be getting either Jarvis or Laf. A 1st rounder give or take a little is probably a fair expectation depending on how things shake out
