Not a big fan of it, he still has loads of potential. Just needs a new coach that doesn’t have a unreasonable personal hatred for him, and has an actual good system.

Bowness hates him and it’s pretty clear, he always blames him for everything that happens and plays him in a role he shouldn’t, it’s some of the worst mis-management I’ve ever seen.

I wouldn’t be opposed to move him if the right package comes though.

Both well-considered moves, soundly reasoned and fair value. Can't wait for the Montreal guys to say you have to add a second.

Yep I would be ok if the Habs made that move. Both guys need a fresh start. Good job.

I like the Faksa for Armia trade a lot. I'm kinda meh on trading for Barrie. Hoping we find a way to keep Klingberg.

Oh you are wrong LOL, Habs most definitely need a 2nd line center and need to shed a RW. Habs take this deal.

They don’t have the cap flexibility to keep Klingberg at his asking price of an 8x8. Barrie is a cheaper replacement that could potentially have a similar impact.

Not even close, BTW our Centers when healthy would be Zuke, Dvo, Poehling, Evans. Poehling and Evans are both 4C's and Dvo is a 3C IMO so ideally we move Poehing to the wing and bring in another middle 6 guy.

Edit** I also saw after posting that you had corrected yourself further down the thread lol.

I forgot about peohling. Lol. My mistake. They do need a 2nd c but isn’t fascia just like dvo. Dvo as top 6 potential.

Barrie and Armia aren’t upgrades on Klinger and Kivi. Armia could be but hard to say. Bourque may or may not be ready. Peterson isn’t a top six forward. Benn and Guri need a better line mate than a past prime Loui. Dobby isn’t good any more.

Someone’s got to replace Klingberg because let’s face it, he’s not coming back, Barrie is the best fit for that job. Armia is an upgrade over Kiviranta for sure, Kiviranta has been pretty disappointing this year.

Peterson has played pretty good this year and I think he can do even better next year, if you don’t give the youth an chance you ruin them, this team is a perfect example. Bourque is playing in his D+2 season this year, and is about at a 2 P/GP in the Q. I can’t see waiting any longer, I can’t see him being worse than Rads.

Sometimes you need to delegate line pairing’s, you put what fits with what. Eriksson beings that veteran and defensive presence, somewhat like Raffl and apparently they were good together as a line, he also has been better than Kiviranta.

I understand that Dobby isn’t good, but there’s not many good and cheap goalies out there in FA. You could pay a 3rd to get rid of him, but then you just lose him for another backup that most likely won’t affect this team doing anything in the postseason. His contract is only for one more year, Stars aren’t intending to contend next year, it’s just a filler for when they’ll contend.

I see it as:

Armia with a change of scenery>Current Faksa
King Loui>Kivi
Bourque>=Rads
Holtby>Dobby
Klinger>Barrie

It’s 3-2 for the new team, that’s just how I see it.

This team isn’t supposed to contend, it’s supposed to do just enough so that in the future they can contend.

Pavs signed for another year to win not set the team up for the future. If this is what we’re doing in the offseason then we shouldn’t have signed Pavs. Should have shipped him and Klinger for assets

Question for Stars fans : Are you able to feel hopeful for a cup contending team with Benn and Seguin's contract being about double of what they're worth ?

This team doesn’t have the cap flexibility to get good FA. Give me a better solution to this problem.
