Description

Best player available for vegas will def be Brouwer, despite not being great this year he's still a better option than bouma/bartkowski.

Sharp gives you a veteran with 3 cups and can replace brouwer on the first pp unit and can PK as well, the size you lose losing brouwer replaced by another veteran with 2 cups in king who can play a role on that fourth line with the kids.

Franson is a better option compared to stone; better skater, bigger body and more offensive upside.

Last but not least, the goaltending. It's a perennial problem down here in Calgary, and this is the BEST way to solve that problem in one fell swoop.

I think Franson would get less, and I'd maybe shoot for a better right handed fa defenseman like Shattenkirk but he might be a little much and I understand the case for franson. It's pretty good tho

I'd think again about Engelland and Bartowski being inside the top 6.
You could get better out of a trade for a 3rd round pick, or promote a prospect from within.
If you have neither, then do everything to get one of the university grads with 4 years of development under their belt to sign as UFA.
The forward ranks are filling in nicely, but it was only 2 years ago that the defence that carried the team in scoring.

@joffe16 yea id love to have somebody better in that 4-hole but franson is the best bang for your buck.

@goldie078 I actually think that third pair did a relatively good job for us, but I do also think if need be we can replace them with andersson or kulak. With engelland I mainly love the physical presence he brings.
