You mentioned the team name not me, it's on you buddy.

Oh yes, like there's another 3.8 million dollar backup somewhere else in the league.

I'm surprised he signed this. At his age this was his shot to try to get a "shot at a starter" contract. He'll be 33 next go around at Ufa. I think he just passed up his shot at bigger money

Feel like Sakic is slowly but surely becoming one of the best GMs of this era.
Just chalking up win after win after win in drafting, trading and signing.
Every move he makes gives Colorado a better chance at immediate or future success.
Hats off.

What do you think he'll do this summer to keep this going?

He's right at the cap without any real money freeing up and:

Kadri = UFA and due for a big raise from $4,500,000.
Kuemper = UFA and due for a big raise from $3,500,000.
Nichushkin = UFA and due for a big raise from $2,500,000.
Burakovsky = UFA and due for a small raise from $4,900,000.

And he's got to conserve for next year with MacKinnon, Byram, Newhook and maybe Jost getting raises.
