Description
Ok, So, I think that Boeser would take a 6x6 deal, and yes I know his QO is 7.5. but that is only what his 1st year salary will be, so I think that 6x6 would be in the time that Jimmy R would go for, and at the pricepoint that Brock would go for.

Bye Bye Dickey

We have too many poolmans, he isnt a bad player, we just have no roster spots for him to claim.

TBL is already over the cap for next year, and joseph has been great for them, but they have become a team that has come to grips with losing their young players. Waivers, trades, if they're gone they'll still win. I think that Joseph can be a JT miller light, being more than what TBL projects him to be.

I really like game of barron, he'd be a great acquisition and he is behind a lot of really good players who are on really good contracts and he has no reason to push them out ATM. It might take a little bit more than motte and a 4th, maybe a 3rd in there/ as well.

Lockwood takes motte's spot.

This year, trade schenn, trade myers. Giraffe man will have 1m in actual salary yet 6m cap hit so he will have positive value to a team trying to reach the floor and not trying to spend money.

Allvin, please dont mess this up. Please bring us a cup.

Let me know your thoughts.

thanks,

Beautifulidiot

Barron >>>>>> Motte & a 2nd RD pick
End of the story
You aren’t trading an A prospect for a bottom six forward on is last year of contract and a 2nd RD pick
That’s bad asset management
We know Sakic is a good GM so no chance he does that

The thing is, the big buyers are clear, especially with the avs being able to utilize LTIR until landy and i think there was a defenceman aswell, they will be buyers and it will be a sellers market so they will have to overpay. besides, what is the end goal of the NHL, to win the stanley cup. you dont do that being stagnant. ask me how I know, Jim benning was my team's GM

Sakic never over pays, and the LTIR space makes their position stronger because they aren’t needing retention. Also he knows who his core is in MacK, Mikko, Landy, Newhook, Makar, Toews and Byram. Throw in he isn’t going to pull from this year roster guys like Kadri, Burakovsky, Nichushkin, Girard, Kuemper and Francouz. Let me ask you who you think the big buyers are, because I think there are fewer of those than ever because of the cap?

Ok then how would you value him? Keep in mind that you don't have much space on your blueline, you have more and better guys coming in the pipeline, and some contracts that will keep him out of the lineup and in the A. I put that out as a feeler, how would motte and a 2nd sound?

Distinctly more than you've offered there. Blue chip RHD prospect who is arguably NHL ready and logically future EJ replacement for at best a third liner and a pick? Nah. Not a hope. Those contracts like Barron's will also be exponentially valuable in the future with the guys they have to sign. Realistically he's stuck behind nobody either. He could be in as early as the play offs or next year. Makar and EJ are the only two righties the Avs have.

Barron isn't a piece you move for two lesser pieces. He's a piece you package with a 1st for a Giroux level player, or simply keep. Avs could absolutely use him at RHD as soon as next season given that Erik Johnson's play has fallen off hard and behind Makar there are no other RHD's on the team.

So youre saying that because the avs are the favourite they will have to pay less? I know that they are the best team in the league, I can see COL, BOS, CAR, TOR, NYR, TBL, FLA, PIT, CGY, EDM, LAK, all buying at the TDL, and you are saying that just because you will have some cap space you will be able to get the deals for cheaper?

The price to acquire guys from a team might not differ as much as you'll still want 50% retention in bigger deals, but they won't have to pay for double retention from a third team, hence a cheaper cost overall for Colorado, but not necessarily a lower price for the seller.

CGY already bought, TBL can’t really buy, EDM needs a goalie, the LAK, and TML need defense. Most teams have cap space issues no? Most teams are having to pay for retention no? I’m just saying the market is smaller than people are making it and buyers are being very selective. To blanket think teams are going to over pay at the deadline in the covid cap period would be a mistake.

but double retention does not effect the canucks, so I didnt include that part in the Trade as its kinda hard to do so in AGM

Again, double retention does not involve the canucks, that goes through another team, All those teams would still be chomping at the bit to buy at the TDL, even teams that have made some trades. I think that there are going to be some trades that when we see them we will think that the buyer's got fleeced.
