They think a 2nd is worth more than a 3rd but maybe I'm just crazy

I absolutely agree regarding Mrazek. His buyout is only a little over $1 Mill next year and 0.833 the year after. Bury him now and buy him out if a reasonable trade can’t be made.

Did they already declare this? If not, then you can't trade this pick. And there is 2 years difference between these picks, so yes, you may be crazy.

Oh right…the conditions for the Ritchie trade.

Has anyone noticed he has 6 points in 7 games for Arizona? Was there a problem with Toronto?

Arizona tentatively owns the 2023 3rd round pick from the trade last month. Toronto cannot trade this pick.

ASKING for a 2nd. If someone actually was willing to cough that up he'd already have been traded. A 3rd and a D prospect who's PPG in the AHL (he's not an elite prospect by any means but he's got potential) isn't a bad return in my opinion.

Career AHL guy plus late 3rd doesn't meet the ask of a 2nd. Guerin says no thank you.

Just following guys like Marchment and Moore who show nothing more than 4th line skills and than light it up as soon as they leave the leafs

Well then Guerin keeps mcBain and mcBain can wait till August to sign and play. Literally the reports is he's giving Guerin a list of 12 teams he's willing to play for and be traded @ deadline if wild get a 2nd. Otherwise he's not accepting

Ottawa declines, to trade Forsberg you'd have to offer something that is unrefusable, you didn't do that and that as well for Ennis is not enough, thank you for not offering Mrazek for Forsberg and Paul.

I don't really see the incentive to Forsberg for Ottawa. Chances are this is a career year and he'll be overpaid in the offseason. Ottawa already has Murray and Gustavsson/Sogaard for next year so getting value for Forsberg while you can seems like a good idea to me. Also Ennis has literally been healthy scratched multiple times, I don't think he means much to Ottawa

Ennis has been healthy scratched like 5 times, Forsberg was this good last year too and loves it in Ottawa, he fits really well with the team and Murray has been consistently injured or bad, there is litteraly a whole article on Sportnet on why Ottawa should not trade Forsberg. Ennis Ottawa probably doesn't care to move but to move Forsberg that'd have to be a big overpay, you could just Murray in the minors or buy him out next season with and run with Forsberg and Gus. You have not overpayed.

OTT is either gonna trade, buyout or burry Murray next season, he should not be with the sens next season, if he is, then Dorion is a moron

Just because a incompetent moron of a coach scratches a player does not mean the player isnt any good

He might be in the Sens organization but I really don't like his injury history, it's starting to add up.

He doesn't want to wait till August. Ge wants a year burn off his contract which he can't do with another team unless his rights are traded

Sogaard just turned 21 y/o, he's not NHL ready, still developing

Gustavsson is ready but can't give him more than a backup role for now

Murray is one hit away from career ending (like Anders Nilsson last year). I'm actually not even sure he won't be on LTIR, just too many concussions already
