No it lacks actual value if you just remove Neighbors

Gotta have Neighbours in there IMO. Also gotta give up more value to dump Scandella and make the deal work.

Ok and? Still lacks a top end prospect, anyone can offer 2 scratch tickets, 2 B/C prospects and cap dump in value

scandella wont take a first to dump
id rather have scotty P be the top end prospect instead
id go
Scandella Barby Scotty P and two 2nds or 1 first should be good

You are right, he should cost about a 2nd to dump.

I feel like you are just ignoring Crouse's value, he's worth a 1st+. As for Chychrun Perunovich again isnt a high enough value prospect by himself, teams like LA or Florida are going to offer a a piece like Turcotte or Knight. Him, Bolduc/Neighbors, and a 1st is a decent base for Chychrun

Crouse isn't worth a 1st plus. If Buchnevich could only fetch Blais and a 2nd, then Crouse is worth less than a 1st plus. He's worth at best an okay roster player and a 2nd.

Everyone with a brain knows the Rangers got fleeced because they couldn't afford to pay him, horrible example. At the deadline Crouse easily returns a 1st+ with his team friendly contract.

Yea I did forget about crouse
Also sure our offers can be beat fs but The blues won’t give up neighbours
Also Florida doesn’t trade knight imo

Its fine if you dont want to trade Neighbors, just offer Bolduc in his place
If Florida is getting Vejmelka too they will likely be fine moving Knight

Rangers did get fleeced, but you can't tell me a different team couldn't offer anything better. Crouse isn't a top line or even a 2nd line guy (as of right now but is improving). He's not worth a first plus.

How many drugs did you have to take to actually justify that was a fair trade?

if I'm arizona i do that deal if its two firsts

chych for Scandella, Barby, Scotty P and two firsts. Scandella is a bottom pairing D who has the blues cap strapped - at least this way they're capped with a top pair 23 year old

I'd say he gets a Goodrow like return - very similar players except Crouse is younger

I didn't say it was a fair trade. I dont think it was and didn't at the time. What I'm saying is Rangers could have gotten better but there has to be a reason why they didn't. Just because they couldn't afford Buch doesn't mean he was subjected to such a low return.

Tampa notoriously overpays because they can afford to do so. Goodrow was also a center and had another year left. Crouse is a LW which diminishes his value slightly. I really like Crouse, but I wouldn't give more than what Buch got in a trade.

I think a Buch return is fair - a second and a decent roster player.

Still have no idea why Drury sold so low on Buch - even if they couldn't afford him, highway robbery by STL

If the Blues offered Kostin and a 2nd, I'd be fine with it. I think Kostin has a Crouse like trajectory, but it will be hard to give him ample playing time in STL

As a Tampa fan if Palat won't resign for ~4M I would be perfectly fine trading Ainefelt + 1st + Seabrook's insurance covered contract (after his next bonus is paid) for Crouse's rights. I think he would sign a somewhat long term deal around 3.5-4M and could fit well as a replacement to Palat. Seabrook would only be owed 2.2M in actual money over the 2 remaining years and would definitely help them reach the floor

Again, Blues won the trade and I think Rangers could have gotten more, but there's a reason the Blues offer was the best they could get at the time.
Crouse's value is what Buch got. A roster player of menial skill and a late 2nd.
