Not a deal Winnipeg would consider. It likely takes a 22 2nd and a prospect with some upside.

How about a 23 2nd and a prospect with some upside (Martin Kaut)

No, if you want the Jets to wait a year for the 2nd it would need to be a prospect with some upside left that the Jets need. So Kaut wouldn't fit as he isn't needed and is what he is with no real upside left.

We disagree on Kaut. Dude should be in the NHL rn, if you watch him in the AHL he's way too good for it

Well, I guess maybe if the Jets viewed Kaut the same way, it might work, but I'm sure the Jets probably just opt for an offer from someone that includes a 22 2nd.

I'd rather have the '23 2nd - it's a better draft

Yeah, but it's also another year to wait for that pick to turn into anything. I'm not sure the Jets do that.

Kaut has been the victim of cap moves maybe more than anybody in franchise history. He earned a spot on the team going into the bubble but they decided to slide his elc. The last 2 years they would rather run league minimum guys up so they can continue to accrue cap. Yeah he should be in the NHL.

Jets Decline

For Copp it’ll be minimum of 2nd + Beaucage… but more likely a 1st +
