If NSH was going to give up a package like that they could get JT Miller, instead of a rental defenseman they don't really need.

TBH, it's too much for Miller, and I don't see VAN trying to unload a bad contract too, at that price.

Boston does not accept malkin has played 57 out of his last possible 112 games he is very very very injury prone now for that price Anyways for a UFA is ridiculous unless we are getting Hertl no way B’s offer that, we need someone reliable and not injury prone imagine we pay that price and Malkin gets hurt and misses all of playoffs which is highly likely

I think k you can argue the Atlantic is the best division in the league the last 3 Stanley cups have had 4 Atlantic teams
B’s, TB and Montreal

Either way. The Pens have the 4th or 5th most points in the NHL. As a 2nd place team. That means the Metro has 2 of the top 4-5 teams in the NHL this season. And I’ll take, Boston, Pens, Caps, NYR, NJ, Phily, Carolina, and Islanders as the best division top to bottom too. Not just top heavy.

I think Metro is better because there is no Ottawa, Mtl, Buff, Det. Metro also has 3 of the last 6 cups. Pretty close though. Either way the East has 8 of the best 10ish teams

Ya that’s true metro is more competitive the Atlantic is just very stacked on the top 4, buffalo and Detroit have looked to turn a table though they could be competitive in the next few years

Top to bottom Metro is the most competitive; top to bottom best fan bases; and top to bottom most storied/quality franchises. Really Carolina being the weakest link on those categories.

After Carolina you have Devils, Islanders, Phily, Rangers, Caps, Boston and Pens. I mean top to bottom every year these teams compete for play-off spots and to win the division. And if teams are down, they arnt for long.

The Devils and Phily are down now but those are two storied and mid-big market teams. Their fans arnt gonna accept losing for long.

The Isles are usually alsways competitive. They spent this off season; it just doesn’t look like it’s worked out this year.

Every year the play-offs spots are tough and close in the Metro. Pens, Caps, Boston, Phily, Rangers, Islanders are always competitive. The Devils had a long run at being competitive and play-off bound every year too. And now Carolina is loaded. Come on.
