Everything looked somewhat okay (Larsson would only need one of those 3 players, not all of them included to be acceptable) until the Johnsson deal, why ?

Muzzin will be back on the payroll before the playoffs, so the Leafs need to save $5 million.

Seattle trade is a joke, Dubas would never do that. Kerfoot straight up or its a no go. (and if anyone says Kerfoot can't even get a 3rd I have no respect for your hockey IQ, go look at his stats).

I like Forsberg, not sure what the Sens will do or what the price will be but if he is available Dubas would definitely be interested with his low cap hit.

Johnsson is a fit in New Jersey, I doubt they move him

Not really, we'd be happy to move him

Larsson has term on a decent contract and is a good shutdown defenseman. Deal is not out of line given the premiums for RHD at the TDL. The Manson trade is a good example. Kerfoot has played on the 4th line recently and had a terrible year last year and mediocre before that.

i think fosberg is probably the best goalie available at the TDL (sorry MAF), with his low cap hit i think the sens can drive up the price a bit especially if its the leafs interested. Not that the value is necessarily wrong, i just think they can pry a second round pick away from the leafs if they want him

So just because he plays and the 4th line makes him bad? Wouldn't that be the opposite, wouldn't it be a testament to his skill if he had that many points in a 4th line role...

Also don't use that "previous year" excuse when a guy is in his prime

No, the point was if he was 35 or something I would understand it, there is a chance he would not be able to replicate what he is doing this year again, but he has 1 year left on his deal after this one at a very reasonable cap hit for his production and has a very good chance of replicating what he has done this year. He is 27 years of age, the guy is in his prime, he is not just going to fall off a cliff next year.
