I just don’t see Canucks and Avs as good trade partners. According to the Avs fans here all their players that hold good value and the Canucks would want are off the table and I don’t see Canucks wanting to trade Miller anyways

ugh this makes very little sense to sign Letang to 8+ million when you could use that to extend Kadri for 7ish and make your team way better for longer and cheaper.

I think you’re exaggerating the first part there are 7 guys that are understandably untouchable, in MacK, Mikko, Landy, Makar, Toews, Newhook and Byram. The latter 2 because of not just their talent but being on ELC’s. The 1st 4 are in the category of Avs for life. Toews is going to be next to impossible to sign in a few years making Byram doubly important. I think the frequent Avs commenters here would agree with this.

The latter I agree with. Imo VAN needs to make it work around EP40, Miller, Horvat, Podkolzin, Hoglander, Hughes and Demko that’s a very healthy base.
