That Coyotes trade is illegal. You can't reacquire a player you've previously retained salary on

Dobson will not be moved for Boeser. If you want to build around Scott Mayfield and the Isles add to the package there could potentially be something there

Rangers pass on whoever that is (assuming bottom 6 winger) for anything more than a 4th

Well, you have more imagination than I do, because I cannot envision the circumstances under which we would want Tanner Pearson back. I mean, realistic circumstances -- not accompanied by a first.

Yotes don’t want OEL back, and he doesn’t want to go back either. Even if he did, he would be a cap dump, and to acquire Crouse as well, it will be a hell of a lot more than 2 meh picks. OEL wanted out, and he is never going back. The only other place OEL was willing to go was Boston, and they have their own problems. Sorry bud, but you are stuck with him.

As we've told Canucks fans many times, Dobson for Boeser makes no sense for NYI. I would absolutely bring Boeser in, but not at the cost of Dobson.

Boeser is not worth Dobson. He's barely outscoring Dobson in the same amount of games this year, he's older, and he's already getting paid more. No way the Islanders ADD a 2nd and a roster player to that.

Pearson is tough to move with that term left. He's also got an NTC that complicates things. You might be able to get a 2nd for him in the offseason, though - I think his NTC drops to only 7 teams this summer.

Dickinson for a 2nd is a joke, right? He's got 6 points in 49 games and is signed for 2 more years at $2.65M. You're stuck with him or you're attaching a 4th and trading him out for F. Considerations.

Rest of the trades seem like trades for the sake of making a trade. Boston isn't taking Halak back with Swayman & Ullmark in goal already; maaaaaybe a team like Colorado looks at him as insurance against injuries? But he's purely a backup at this point and hasn't looked good this season. I don't see the Avs making the Poolman trade; they're in a position where they're going to have a very expensive top 4 in the next couple seasons, and adding *another* $2.5M D with term is silly. Tyler Myers makes is too old with too much term at too high of an AAV to get back a package like that from CBJ - maybe someone else pays positive assets for him, but CBJ isn't close to contention and wouldn't make a move like that now.
