Before everyone freaks out on me, this isn’t a trade I would say I would do or not. It’s a trade I think it would take to get him. So please do just say “Rangers or Blackhawks wouldn’t do it”. Agian, it’s just the price I think it’d take

Remove the condition on the 1st...aka drop the 2nd and I think that would be about accurate to the value. According to the Athletic and their insiders, the Hawks wouldn't entertain anything less then a top prospect (Kappo) and two 1st rounders or the equivalent (Schneider + 1st here)

I think PK should focus on chasing Mikita rather than going for it another time. I think this would make him even more legendary imo.

Does Kakko still qualify as a top prospect? He's talented no doubt but has struggled mightily. I'd be more interested in Laf if I'm CHI, personally.

I think the value is fair though. Two young roster players, a fantastic prospect in Schnieder, and a couple of picks. Well done!

The only reason I guess it might be “overkill” is because Kane has term. If he was set to be UFA then of course it’d be too much

Still think it's too much. Kane (retained) = Kappo, Schneider, + 1st rounder probably is enough Maybe Kappo replaced with Lafreniere versus a conditional 2nd and schneider?

Thanks. Anytime I try to do these things I try to be fair with them. I still see him as a top prospect. Sure he’s struggled with the adjustment to North America game but he’s also still young. So I’m willing to see how he is in a year or two. Patience is the key
