Now that’s bold - cause Drai is worth actually close to 9 firsts like Larkin

Larkin is a pending UFA next year, would be a bad move from BUF.

Buffalo would never. If you ever trade Power, it’s for Draisaitl

I was thinking Larkin was an RFA, and it's not a great idea either way but trading Power for a #1C if we got Nemec, and we already have a good 1-2 for the future at LD with Dahlin afn Samuelsson+ Johnson coming up I would consider trading Power for a #1C but Larkin is probably not the guy. I do agree someone like Draisaitl would be sick, although probably not 2 realistic. @oilersguy.

And I mean Power - Seider would be sick.

It would be sick for the Wings not Buffalo imo.

Power is like Sanderson - it’s bold to assume but each could be top 4/ 2nd pair guys immediately. Not worth losing easily and with the age and size + ability - you really gotta find a overpay type trade or a very equal value swap.

Larkin isn’t worth losing Powers. I’d be very very very hesitant even for 1 for 1 tbh. Larkin has little team control whereas Powers has around to 6 years (give or take, you get me) of team control

@BuFfaLOFaN @yikes

I would just like to put it out there that in that whole SJS/BUF/EDM 2020 draft picks trade tree that the Oilers got Savoie and Tullio from a single 3rd round pick

It’s a very interesting tree - each team got what they wanted.

San Jose pulled out a Datysuk impersonator with top 6 upside, and a potential middle 6 C with a good ceiling.

Buffalo got a really underrated prospect who’s crushing the AHL and fits their timeline wonderfully.

EDM came out with a stronger prospect pool and hit with Savoie.

I like EDMs side the least - but it’s preference. I love JJP and Gushchin. And I’m very impressed with Bordeleau who’s already faced some big challenges early in his career. Savoie is a great piece for EDM as he could be used soon if he continues his trend upwards. He fits EDM nicely as you mentioned on the other thread and he’s a solid asset.

All in all - as I mentioned earlier; it’s actually and incredibly interesting tree that likely will have huge ramifications on all 3 teams/ seeing how all players pan out. I like it for all 3; but love SJS and Buffalos side. SJS has the most risk, but I like risk. Buffalo and EDM came out with safer/ better returns.

Big if true.

Trade involving the likes of Blackwood and Nylander would probably be the biggest one in this deadline.

Joke.

Nylander is gonna make fans/ management regret it. I hated on Nylander for years - and that’s owning up. But that kid is very good and really has earned his pay check.

I think Tavares is the nail in the leafs coffin (like SJS and Karlsson; Karlsson is amazing and Tavares has struggled this year, but they’re both burying cap hits)

Nah, no chance they involve Holtz here.

Maybe something like Nylander+Mrazek for Blackwood+Severson+3rd.

I doubt Blackwood gets traded especially to the Leafs
No timeline on his return so big risk for Toronto
Plus his value right now isn't high

Seems a bit odd though as then who replaces Nylander

Now if Bertuzzi was vaccinated maybe you could do something but lets say you trade Nylander and get Blackwoord, Samsonov, Georgiev, etc. what then what...

Like you then need to go get one or two guys to replace him.

No one's been talking about it, but I think Washington would be a great fit for chiarot.
But this is the game to go to if you wanna scout

Those teams are probably scouting Lehky and I know he’s not playing but somehow Chiarot, someone like Crouse might have interest too
