just fyi even mrazek 30% retained has significan negative value. Leafs would have to add at least another 2nd.

and maybe take the 4th out of the middleton trade the rumor is 2nd + prospect for him

Avs don't have many high draft picks so they can't afford to burn the few they have on bottom of the roster pending UFA's unless they are impact players (which he is not).

Didn’t know that if that’s so I’d just take that out and make it full salary

With 30% retained would be 2.66 million for 2 years. That's not much of a cap dump tbh. Would not take much of anything to dump that contract. No way they would retain that much. Buying him out/him turing into what he has proven to be over 300 games would be much better. Be realistic bud.

The "rumor" is just the starting point for what the sharks want. That would be the absolute maximum. Realistically he won't get anywhere close to Manson, the sharks are just trying to capitalize on that trade. 55 games in the league doesn't get you that much. Maybe a 3rd and a guy who might be able to play like a duzak/hollowell/Rubins

Rangers decline, too much for a player that can walk in the offseason

That’s just a weak analogy. Ritchie is a negative value asset but he’s signed at 2.5 for one more season and he plays a very expendable position. Mrazek is playing even worse than Ritchie was, costs 1.3M more and is signed for 2 more years playing the least expendable position. Mrazek single-handedly throws games for the Leafs on a constant basis.
