What is the Yzerplan next year

Created by: Chairman
Team: 2022-23 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 16, 2022
Published: Mar. 16, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This nonsense certainly, this is not it but we need a 2nd line C, 2 LHD, 1-2 goalies. What else? What would you swap that I dropped in here? We have to spend too as we're like $20,000,000 below the cap floor next year so they probably need a few high dollar contracts. I like the idea of a czech line, if we ever got there, but I bet Hertl stays in SJ.

If Lindholm were to sign that deal, he would already be resigned in Anaheim

Both Tomas Hertl and Hampus Lindholm get closer to 7 x $8,000,000 more then likely. And Husso isn't needed for 3 years. Sebastian Cossa should be ready by his D+3 season so 2 full seasons in Grand Rapids should do the trick.

I thought the same thing about Cossa but, although he most likely won't ever repeat his draft year stats, he's had a bit of a bumpy year stats-wise below .920. Thinking he might be 4 years out and I am guessing the front office will want to be competitive before then. Who knows can't wait for that kid.

Maybe, but will they want to drop that much when Drysdale, Terry, Lundestrom, Zegras, and others coming along nicely? In a couple of years they'll have some massive contracts coming. Although they are playing well my though was their core is younger than Detroit's which might make them less willing to invest that cash in a player that may not be a part of their core.
