Benson will not be with the Oilers next season. Hopefully he gets plucked from waivers today, if not, he still wont be back.
The goal tending is still a major issue.
I'd rather keep Barrie than play a rookie on their offside because old balls Keith is still plugging up a roster spot. If they are going to trade Barrie they absolutely need to bring in a RHD.

Yeah I think Flyers want a bit more, especially with taking on Kass w no retention and Stars hold Gurianov in high regard, I want him, but it’ll take more than Barrie no doubt

You’d have to add a lot more for the Flyers to take this

I can't remember where I read it, but someone suggested the Flyers would be open to trading Sanheim if they could get a similar return to what they paid for Ristolainen. That's what I was targeting here... I agree that they should be able to get a better return than this ^ (and I'd be willing to add), but remember that it's Chuck Fletcher we're talking about, so expect to be underwhelmed.

Perhaps you didn't notice, but Broberg played MILES better on the right side when Barrie was out than he has to date in the left side. I didn't place him there because Keith is "plugging up a roster spot", I put him on the right side on purpose. I WANT Keith as his partner. They had fantastic stats together in a small sample size.

Do they hold Gurianov in higher regard than Klingberg though? I doubt it. And this way they're replacing Klingberg without spending the $8M he wants on his next contract.

Over the past 2 seasons Barrie has scored at a 57 point pace while Gurianov has scored at a 41 point pace.

Seems like a pretty good deal to me.
