I'd pass. Decent deal for a pure rental, but teams are being allowed to talk to Lindholm's camp regarding re-signing. Any deal will be a trade with plans to re-sign. That said, the offer seems low.

I think that’s lacking for value coming back

I'm not gonna lie i'd be okay with this. Would maybe just push for it to be a '23 1st rounder instead of '22 and call it a day

If there's a taker for that, then awesome. But otherwise this is a fine return imo. Could include a conditional pick if NYR re-sign him

With what Chairot got, I think it’s lacking

I get that it could be a bit more, but is it lacking that much? Admittedly I don't watch MTL so I haven't really seen Chiarot, but he played top line minutes for the Canadiens, albeit without very good metrics behind it. Chiarot reeled in a '23 first rounder and change (a low-end prospect and 4th rounder isn't much). A 1st and 1st round prospect still seems like a pretty clear step up to me

Agreed. However, IMO, the conditional pick would need to be another 1st for it to be fair value on a player of Lindholm's ability.
