Fill out the Rest Drury

Created by: campi95
Team: 2021-22 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 16, 2022
Published: Mar. 16, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
It seems like Drury is going for the add some small pieces for depth, and avoid overpaying for the big splash for guys with term. If that is the case hopefully something like this would be doable. There could even be a possibility of one or two of these guys re-signing with some summer maneuvering magic. This vastly improves the team and puts them in a much better position to at least be a more complete team in the playoffs. It would be a fun group to watch.

Judging the looks of the Chiarot return, no way Lehkonen goes for less than a 1st at least.

Both valued at least a 1st by the organization, Lehkonen has far superior analytics and can play up and down lines.

Just cuz they are “valued” by the organization doesn’t mean you get that return. Vatrano was “valued” for at least a 2nd they gave him up for a 4th. Also, defenseman and veterans are typically overvalued at the deadline. I don’t think Chiarot’s return is comparable but that’s just me. Lehkonen’s a nice player to have but Lundkvist isn’t going in return. I could buy Kravstov going the other way. Maybe the 2nd is conditional based on if NYR make it to the 2nd round to become a 1st. Groton loves conditional picks lol.

No interest in Gauthier at all. He would be on waivers and MTL wouldn't pick him up.

You would have to pay Montreal for the contract spot he would take.

on le sait tous que tu ne connais pas les valeur et que tu es un fanatique ... la réalité elle, est ailleurs, car justement le marché commande ce type de choix. Comme @OldNYIfan tu va finir par comprendre :P

He’s and RFA after this year and has a minimum contract. It’s a roster player in return. Can the Habs afford to turn away players now. I understand Cole Caulfield’s looked great with Marty at the helm, but let’s be realistic.

Coleman had multiple 20 goal seasons. Lehkonen has not had one. If the rationale is he is worth more because he is cost controlled being an RFA I can buy it.

You guys said Chiarot wouldnt even net a 1st at half retained and look at the return. Your thoughts dont mean they are fact by the way.

1. Gauthier is a bust
2. Montreal have no need for a RW what so ever. Already have 5-6 better ones.

Who are you guys? All I’ve said is that I don’t think it’s comparable to Chiarot I didn’t say that Chiarot wouldn’t get that return. I appreciate the wise tellings you have to offer on my thoughts.

For the record I know Gauthier sucks. That line did make LOL. Habs got some good young guys. Gonna be tough to figure out what they do with Petry and the whole Price thing. You think Marty is gonna get the full time gig?

Petry will be traded away for whatever return before next season. He's just not interested in playing for the team anymore.

Price will problably return next week since he's practicing but his next injury will be his last.

MSL wiill keep his job even if the team crash after the TDL in my opinion. We're over .500 since he took the job with the same injury plagued team, except for Hammond.

no 1st goalie (on LTIR) no 1st d-man (On LTIR) no 3rd d-man (On LTIR, now back) no 4th d-man (traded) Lost their 2nd center to UFA, got robbed from 3rd center through hostile offer ... oh and play more than 29 skaters because of many injuries ... so yeah imploding season ...

Coleman had 2 years left at 1.8m while having a better history of scoring. Apples to oranges.
