Description

It seems like Drury is going for the add some small pieces for depth, and avoid overpaying for the big splash for guys with term. If that is the case hopefully something like this would be doable. There could even be a possibility of one or two of these guys re-signing with some summer maneuvering magic. This vastly improves the team and puts them in a much better position to at least be a more complete team in the playoffs. It would be a fun group to watch.

i agree there, but lehkonen brings other elements to his game that the habs can get a 1st for him based on current market conditions

‘Cost control’ yeah for this year and then he’s getting a major bump in salary next year. He could also opt to sign a 1 year if he wants to go to free agency instead of staying long term wherever he’s traded.

Lehkonen should get a RHD prospect and a pick to insure against that prospect not making it.
It could be Lundkvist and a 7th or Skinner and a 1st. It could be two pieces in between.
A center with top 6 potential would be the next best thing and gauged similarly.

There has to be incentive for Montreal to move him, in the form of a high quality piece or need. If it's something like Gauthier and a 2nd, they can get that next year if they choose.
