Not one team accepts those trade. Burns is on a horrible contract. You aren't getting a pick for him, and suter, who is better than burns.

You are dumping multiple assets, including a 1st to move any of your bad contracts, which are numerous.

If Doug Wilson proved anything with that Hertl extension, he truly doesn’t see the Sharks as a rebuilding team for whatever reason and therefore I guarantee that he’ll have no issue trading picks and good prospects for players under long term contracts as a means to try and utterly fail at contending. That context does shed light on the Travis Konecny deal and thus I can see it happening, but the rest don’t really align with how Doug Wilson does business so those will not happen. Middleton maybe, but that’s a huge maybe.

Doug Wilson didn't do this contract. DW is sick at home most of the year. Interim GM Joe Will orchestrated the Hertl deal.

I think Suter considers it for sure, especially if he's asked to waive. He has a lot of family ties to the Sharks organization and I could see him agreeing to play a similar role to his uncle, Gary, with whom he's close with. Similarly, DAL (maybe FLA too) is the one spot I would guess has the highest probability for Burns to agree to waive his limited-NTC for.

It's been Joe Will handling the helm (dunno with how much influence from DW since he's been sick).
