Next season the return of Klefbom

Created by: ceeque84
Team: 2022-23 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 16, 2022
Published: Mar. 17, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Bridge deals for McL & Pujli.
Fingers crossed Kane wins his settlement with the Sharks and he wont be as desperate for big money on a long term contract.
4th line retool for some bigger bodies and more hitting.
Not sure Holtby is the way to go with the Goaltending. Maybe run a 50/50 split with Skinner for the season and see how it goes. This defence would be much better so maybe the goaltending would be fine.
Klefbom coming back and Keith retiring is purely wishful thinking.
The Jeannot trade is wishful thinking as well. Not sure Nash would part with him. But I think a 3rd line RW who can put up decent points as well as crash and bang should be high on the Oilers wish list for next yr, and if Yamo continues to play well he should be the piece they use to get one.
Would Mason sign for a bit less to get more term??

These, particularly the Nashville one seem awfully lopsided for Edmonton

No chance Nashville moves Jeannot. He has been a consistent performer all year and the way he is scoring on the 3rd line should have him in Calder consideration.

Jeannot isn’t up for trade.

If Klefbom returns, will he really be able to do 2nd pairing minutes? He was great when healthy but he hasn’t played nhl hockey in how long now?

You really don’t want to know what it would actually take for Nashville to trade jeannot? Jeannot not only is a good goal scorer but his energy and presence is exactly the kind of identity the Nashville coaching staff wants.
