As a Blackhawks fan, I would love having Saad back over Panarin. Both very talented players and Panarin is definitely an elite scorer but I feel Saad just has more all around quality. Watching both of these players first two/three seasons in Chicago I definitley liked watching Saad more. He always seemed to play harder than Panarin has.

a few CBJ fans are going to tear into this because Wennberg and Anderson aren't here.

They play very different styles. Panarin is more of a pure point producer, a damn good one, who plays more of a perimeter game. While Saad is a power forward.

IMO CBJ could use a pure point producer who plays the perimeter as they really dont have one. And they have tons of power forwards already.
I think the Hawks could use a power forward as they already have Kane. I see this working well for both teams.

I would love to see this trade happen... but I can't ever see Columbus give up Saad for Panarin. Panarin doesn't need Kane to produce, but his numbers are inflated by Kane no doubt, but the issue has been Panarin can't translate his game into the playoffs where Saad can despite Torts inability to use him well in the lineup.

Yeah I wasn't so much doing it to set the jackets lineup. I just wanted to propose the trade to see what Jackets fans thought.

This is just a lateral move for both teams. This doesn't solve Chicago cap issues and Columbus doesn't get any better.
