I had a late 1st rounder in Suzuki, plus a current NHLer in Lorentz, a 2023 1st, a 2023 second, plus other pieces in one of my proposals. I got pretty close. Not exactly, of course, but still!

That's close but I don't think Ryan suzuki is worth a late 1st anymore, not sure he was worth it when drafted in 2019

Suzuki IMO was worth the late 1st. The issue that he has is that he had an eye injury not long after he was drafted, and though he mostly recovered, he still has a small but permanent blind spot that he needs to prove that he can overcome. That may be a factor in why he's more valuable to Carolina than to other teams.

The point is, though, I got extremely close to the correct return. I always knew Hagel was going to get a massive return, but I honestly wish that Carolina paid it. Oh well.
