Adding a goalie as bad as Smith, no thank you. I think Tampa could do better if they're trading a 1st too.

Smith looked a lot more like the last year smith last night. Was aggressive staying at the edge of crease and reflexes were quick tracked the puck very well. The rust might be getting knocked off might be finding his groove if so he’s shown countless times can be above average starter. It’s just one game but very encouraged with how he looked.

I still think he's capable of playing well and giving good starts, I really hope he finds his consistency. I'm not as hard on Smith as others but it has been a tough season.

I was worried about him not soo much doubting his capability but more so he’s basically trying to jump in mid season and since hasn’t really played might need a training camp or an undetermined amount of tune up games to get rolling unfortunately our spot in the standings wasn’t really going to allow that. Last night was very encouraging granted against an easier opponent but his positioning and sharpness looked way way better than any point he tried to come in this season. Only one game so not getting too ahead of myself but expecting he will get the next start continue to build off it. If he does between him and kane those are two massive mid season additions for no cost.

That's a pretty underwhelming return for Giroux.

I mean he's a rental who has a NMC. Getting a former 1st, an NHL ready player and a pick definitely isn't bad

I guess I'm not as high on Tippett as most here are. He's 23 and hasn't had much success at the NHL level, that's not a great sign.
