I'd spend that amount to Hagel as he has two more years left at almost similar cost

I agree and I would prefer Hagel, but I think Hawks would want more.

I really doubt MTL trade one contract for 2, they're close to the 50 limit

So a 1st rounder is good but Katchouk is 23 and sucks and the Habs have about 6 other Joseph like players on the roster already. Both have 0 value and possibly even negative as they take a roster spot. Would much rather to just remove them and take the 1st on its own
