who would have tough 3 years ago monohan would be playing 4c for calgary.

i dont understand sutters obsession with lewis. the guy is good at penalty killing and that is it. keep him on the fourth line so he isnt destroying the other lines. toffoli should be 2nd line and dube 3rd and lewis 4th

Don’t get hung up on the line numbers - one is a scoring second line the other is a shutdown second line. Lewis is ok in this role IMO

I understand that backlunds line is definitely the shut down line but putting a player on that line that is significantly lower skill than the other two players drags the line down and hurts their production. Lewis is not so much better than toffoli on defense that it makes up for the negatives he brings.

putting dube with jarnkrok and mangiapane seems like a much more effective scoring second line than with lewis there. toffoli just improves what ever lines hes on so im not worried where he fits

I agree about Lewis, but don't worry about 1st,2nd,3rd, and 4th lines... ice time is fairly spread throughout the lineup. The 2nd and 3rd lines are interchangeable.
