Just remember, no matter the outcome... Toronto media has a blank cheque for miserable perspective.

If/when they win a cup, they will gloss over the victory and scrutinize the remainder of Matthews' contract and beyond.

Nothing will ever be good enough and every move Dubas does or doesn't make is under the microscope.

yeah i definitely feel Mrazek would need to be bought out unfortunately, i cant see any team taking him as a cap dump

Well the cap does't work when Muzzin comes back. Last thing the Leafs want is Muzzin sitting for half a season and expect him to be game ready for the playoffs.
You lost me when you traded for Larsson. More obsession with non playoff teams middling players who make way too much and have too much term.
Seattle must have the greatest Dmen in the league. On CF, Leafs fans seem obsessed with obtain Larson, Giordano, Dunn, Saucy and Olesiak. as the saviours.

Drop the picks on the hawks side and I think it's adequate payment for taking Mrazek. The buyout isn't bad

Such that MAF is dropped too. Taking on $3.8M AHL caliber goalie is a bad idea. I posted something a while ago about a Connolley and most Hawks fans chimed in saying they would NOT be happy if that occurred again. Which to me is a similar situation to Mrazek. Mrazek being slightly worse due to slightly higher cap.

I'd be pretty pissed off if the Hawks buy out Mrazek. That's four years of dead cap. Just rip the band aid off and keep him in the AHL. Don't hurt the rebuild by kicking the dead cap into when you're trying to actually build again.

Fleury doesn't work cap wise for TOR if Mrazek doesn't go the other way.

this team is somehow TOO all-in - you've built a cap situation where there is about $10M in cap for 2022-23(assuming it bumps to $82.5M as rumored) and you have 12 players signed. You'll need to find a goalie tandem, give Sandin, Crouse and Kase their RFA raises, and STILL find a 4th line. Best of luck!
