Typical player agent overhypes everything.

From What I see Lehkonen is a solid 3rd line player.

Price for Lehki starts with a 1st rd pick and prospect for HABS to even consider trading him

example; Philip Broberg and a 3rd or Xavier Bougrault and a 3rd

Bourgault has top 6 potential and is a first round pick so probably not. A first and a second round pick is too much for an RFA who is about to get a big pay raise.

Lavoie+a second and benson is more the market.

You obviously don`t understand that HABS are not interested in Trading Lehki UNLESS ...

HABS offer Oilers 2x 1st rd picks for McDavid, what do you say. I know the answer; no need to reply

Broberg is a future franchise dman and Bourgault is also too high skill to trade for a 3rd line player.

Then you can continue to watch him in Montreal, since its incredibly unlikely he's moved for less than a 1st or a prospect equivalent.

Maybe watch him more though, considering Edmonton has 3 players with more 5v5 points and no forward with his kind of defensive impacts.

I understand but that is what Hughes will expect if teams are interested in Lehki. Anything else is a NO deal pretty much what happened in the Chiarot deal. I think Florida overpaid. The same will happen with the team that trades for Lehki, they will have to overpay

I obviously don't understand what???
This is not my proposal.
Third line players don't return top NHL prospects and a first. Period

35: Philip Broberg, Edmonton Oilers
30: Xavier Bourgault, Edmonton Oilers

HABS don`t want to Trade Lehki. They want to keep him but if the price is a Top Prospect and ++ they will listen.

Kind of like selling your house, it`s not on the market it is worth lets say $50k but someone calls and offers you $250k. I bet your next words are ``Honey Start the Car``

Price for Lehkonen is a 1st plus a B+ maybe even an A- prospect

Hughes said he won't trade him for the sake of trading him, the buyer needs to come swinging if they want Lehkonen.

Based on the Coleman trade if you are to consider them equals then the asking price is a 31st overall pick and a b-grade prospect.

If you look at other deals from the past Andreas Athanasiou for 2 Second round picks was a hell of a deal for Detroit.

I don't think the oilers are even interested in Lekhi. There's already a bit of a log jam at forward. yamo, puljujarvi and Mcleod are all RFA'S that are gonna get nice raises. Doesn't make sense to add this guy. When Nuge comes back, he centers the 3rd line.

If oilers are scouting the Habs, it's probably for someone like Kulak.

Different times; the CAP makes things difficult for teams, Lehki is a bargain at $2.3M and even more if HABS take 50% of the salary. He is worth GOLD studded with diamonds to the HABS right now

The price is whatever hughes wants to accept for him. You can reference all the past deals you want so far he has gotten exactly his price on toffoli and got almost more than he wanted for Chiarot. Lecky is an RFA that they would glady have on their roster going into September. Its going to take a 1st, plus more to get him or he stays in MTL its not difficult to understand.

I'm pretty sure Kenny's gonna offer on Price or Weber regardless of their status. Because he's still living in 2010.

Yah if the Oilers get Guhle and a 2nd from Montreal for Foggle (similar player) they will do that deal as well. But no GM on earth would even propose that idiot trade.
PS tell your hab fans to stop trading Lehkonen if he is not for sale.

I have been watching the thread a bit reading through the convo and it seems like you misunderstood a comment. You said "Third line players don't return top NHL prospects and a first." but the comment you were referring to said "Philip Broberg and a 3rd or Xavier Bougrault and a 3rd" so basically a 1st + 3rd. I think where you got confused was when he said "HABS offer Oilers 2x 1st rd picks for McDavid".

Yah it is hard to understand this when it says it starts with a 1st and then adds one of the 2 NHL top propects.
That is confusing to me
"Starts with a first"

"Price for Lehki starts with a 1st rd pick and prospect for HABS to even consider trading him

Either way a 3rd liner will not return a nhl top propect in my opinion.

Just like Foggle will never get that return.

The GM would be stupid if he though the habs needed a player like lehkonen right now. The play for lehkonen is to unload him to a stanley cup contender right now for a king's ransom. If hughes didnt want to trade lehkonen he would just say no he wouldnt say sharpen your pencil if you want him. It's classic bargaining you say you don't really want to sell it and are having scond thoughts.
