I'm sorry, what?

Thomas for Bertuzzi 1 for 1, Doug Armstrong says absolutely not. A second and our top prospect for Puis Sutter? Hard no.

Not even remotely close to zero chance. Thomas is untouchable, Neighbours ain't far behind him and the Blues have no use for a nutbag, as good a player as he is.

It would be Bert for Thomas straight up I'd say, and St Louis probably says no.

Robert Thomas is untouchable? Sorry, but he's not even close to untouchable. Untouchable is for superstars, Thomas is far from that..He's had a nice 50 game stretch and suddenly Robert Thomas is untouchable lol

I wouldn't do Thomas straight up for Bertuzzi, so clearly there is no deal to be done here.

From a pure playmaking perspective, Thomas has almost no equals in this league. Obviously his ceiling is capped by his inability to generate and finish his own shots, but he also brings transition ability as well as the ability to forecheck and recover pucks which has lead to strong defensive numbers over his career. He’s a 23 year old all situations 1c making 2.8, that’s untouchable.

Wouldn't trade Thomas straight up for Bertuzzi, let alone add a promising prospect and an additional pick.

Blues wouldn't trade Thomas for Bertuzzi 1 for 1. One is young controlled center for years, the other is only under contract for a little over a season. Not a chance. Is Thomas untouchable? No, but the only way Blues include Thomas in any deal would be for the guy Detroit calls untouchable in Seider or a player of similar caliber.

Heh. Thomas was untouchable before this 5-game stretch, which has only solidified his untouchable-ness. He's 23, cheap, under control and only just starting to scrape his potential. And they almost certainly see him as a future captain. The Blues would not do him 1 for 1 for Bertuzzi, either, so this trade is pure fantasy.
