VAN walks as clear winner from both deals, especially considering they're in division moves.

Both CGY and LA decline.

To be fair J.T. Miller has been crazy good and wanting a king's ransom for him is probably a healthy approach. Guy is Top10 in points in relatively bad team.

Different thing altogether is whether they'll get one or not.

Turcotte has a higher potential than Garland (who's a very, very good player) and plays center, so I don't see us adding much for him. Grans, on the other hand, is an A prospect and Hamonic has virtually no trade value to us. Hamonic plays a position where we're heavily stocked even without Grans and has a very high cap hit for a third-pairing, aged defenseman.

I literally said that these are bases for trades. That means that either team can add to it lol

I know, but the bases don't work. CGY has no interest in swapping a player to one of similar role, only 6 years older, and I don't see LA including Turcotte in trades right now.

If you've watched the Flames, you'd notice that Dube isn't a guy that is trusted in the Sutter system. He's getting wasted on the fourth line. Pearson is a Sutter guy and would be trusted defensively.

Yeah the LA trade is a bit off, but Garland is being heavily undervalued by y'all.

While you have a point in Sutter probably trusting Pearson as he knows the guy, I still don't think value works there. If they trade Dube, they want a clear upgrade. I'm not sold on Pearson being one.

Yeah that's true. them getting Jarnkrok doesn't help either. But idk I could see Pearson getting moved to Calgary at some point.
