Well Reaves was traded for 3rd.

People need to calm down.

High price yes, but nothing outrageous.

Enforcers with hockey skills are not common. It comes at a premium I guess.

Doesn't matter. It's a complete waste of an asset. Hell, signing Cody McLeod to an NHL deal would've accomplished the same thing.

Double posting; don't care. "Enforcer" and "hockey skill" are basically mutually exclusive terms nowadays. The best kinds of gritty players are the ones who are actually good, like Marcus Foligno and Lawson Crouse. Deslauriers brings absolutely nothing besides toughness; he's an awful forward.

You mix up grit and fighting skills.

Deslauriers brings 10G a year. If that's nothing to you, too bad.

If you’re a non-playoff team, you’re foolish not to dump all of your pending UFAs at the deadline for whatever you can get for them (if you don’t extend them first). Fortunately for Anaheim, “whatever you can get for them” is a lot this year. I’m curious to see what they’ll get for Rackell.
