I dont think this return is underwhelming given the circumstances but this trade is a win for the bruins if they resign him to a reasonable contract.

Worst case scenario Vaak doesn’t pan out and Ducks still get a 1st and two 2nd rounders. Best case scenario Vaak becomes a decent Top 6 defender for the Ducks after a much needed change of scenery. We still have Rakell and Comtois to watch at the deadline and could still get some more returns. Not to mention continuing interest in Debrusk and Kubalik.
