Description

Gourde is a gamer and knows how to get it done in the playoffs. He plays a 200 foot game and has some grit. He's also not a rental. I think this makes some sense if the Avs are going to spend their 2023 1st right now. Gourde is also part of a "replacement" when Bura and Naz depart. This may not be quite enough but it does free up some cap for Seattle and gets them a good piece of draft capital they covet.

Thanks! I'm not sure it's enough but I think it's close and Gourde is the kind of player you want as a contender. I'd rather spend the 1st on him than Copp, who could easily walk in the offseason. It's not a very Sakic move but it does make sense in a lot of ways.
