Description
Dubas says he wont pay a 1st for a rental, supposedly, despite, supposedly, offering 1sts already, and we know he's paid 1sts for rentals in the past. Really tho a pick in the 20-32 range is a crapshoot. Ppl really overvalue the mystery box

Montreal is not doing that, our Left side is overcrowded and we have enough better LHD that can play the right side to make Dermott uninteresting.

All I am going to say is that those are huge overpayment for Soucy and Lehkonen.

No, they are NOT! Hagel got more. Lehks is better but his contract wont be as good but still valuable with team control.

Mrazek wont be cheap to dump and your getting a physical D at TDL which goes for a premium.

If anything they are underpayments but i feel like im repeating myself after the Chiarot deal here.

Georgiev doesn't have a much better record than Mrzarek this year. So in effect you've given up a mountain of futures for Saucy. I'm always amazed on CF that folks think five Seattle Dmen are suppose to the saviours of the Leafs....Giordano, Saucy, Dunn, Olesiak and Dunn.
Big overpay for Lehkonen from the Leafs view.

You are telling me this team is worse?

I really cant take that opinion seriously when they have addressed a need on the wing, in net and stabilized their defence

who cares if you win. That's the fan base's problem. Appearances mean nothing. Ppl were calling for Brisebois head after the Goodrow deal

I can't take you seriously when you have put Kampf on right wing. Obviously you don't know the Leafs.

Montreal wants nothing to do with Doormat. Every Leaf trade on here that involves the Habs seems to include him. We have zero need for him. None. Waive the guy.

So im guessing you'd rather have Phillippe Myers? Interesting next few hrs as MTL has 1st priority on waivers

lol. i didnt even think twice about it

Telling me Lehkonen is an overpay when Dubas spent more on a washed up free agent whereas Lehkonen is team controlled is laughable and this being a sellers market above all else with very few impact forwards available

He never offered a first. If you read the tweet that dreger put put, that's what Chicago wanted, but dubas was not going to offer it. I assume lehcky goes for a 1st, maybe 2 2nds just not to toronto. Georgiev has been terrible. Plus there are reports that he has a major attitude problem. Not what toronto needs. I'd stop trading Mrazek. He more likely then not returns pack top a 910/915 goalie next season. I like soucy though

110% It would be far more beneficial to pick up Myers’s off of waivers for free.

Lebrun has already reported that the demand is a 1st plus another asset. This is the bare minimum return for Lehkonen. Hughes isnt selling for less when Lehky is team controlled. I always go low on returns but it doesnt matter to fan boys that just comment to critique. Same exact thing as my Chiarot ACGMs which i nailed with all 3 ACGMs having Chiarot going to Florida for a 1st plus

Georgiev's analytics are by far the best of available goalies and hes struggling which is why you can buy low. We've seen a young goalie like Kahkonen struggle as a backup but flourish as a starter in Minnesota with Talbot is on the shelf. This would be the same bet on Georgiev and its just that, a bet!
Theres no sure things but a homer keeps searching for that sure thing. That does not exist in sports when you're competing with 31 other teams and that is the goal to compete otherwise what is Dubas really trying to do?!
The rangers were looking for a 1st rounder last year. Mzarek clearly has shot confidence and style doesnt fit the Leafs. Hes more of an athletic goalie that goes on instincts when the Leafs simply need structure.

Soucy is going for at least an Jankrok return so youre essentially dumping Mrazek for a pick in the 20-32 range which is a complete guess in 2023. seattle is the one team that can take salary and has a D surplus for sale. Its the perfect trade partner for Dubas.
