Teams don't pay for getting to the cap floor, certainly not a 2nd.

Why would nashville trade for someone who just cleared waivers?

They can easily do that w/o giving up picks. Teams will be lining up to give them picks for bad contracts.

Waiver exempt now for the remainder of the season (40 days I believe)

The Habs aren't in need of moving Weber's contract. He can stay on LTIR, but Montreal will set the price if Arizona is interested in picking up his contract.

Armia however, move him to Buffalo with a third for future considerations.

Interesting player. He had a great game yesterday with a goal and 6 SOG, playoff performer. When teams are bitting on Hamonic's term dont see why Armia doesnt get at least a 3rd rounder

I'm sure the Canadiens would happily move Weber's contract for a price. Although, it will be to a team near the cap limit that would be interested, not Arizona. I wasn't looking at it from the Canadiens' perspective at all. The deal makes absolutely zero sense from the Yotes' standpoint. They would look to take another Louis Eriksson contract to get to the floor. They're not giving up picks to do it.

Waiver exempt does not mean theyre good. Actually Paquette and Perrault have been god awful this season.
