My guy, 190lbs at 5'9" is a THICC boi.
And he loves to yap.

It seems you've forgotten what it is the height is short form for.

Don't know much about him, I'm assuming he's bottom six.

He play special teams at all? Not that he'd make the PP here.

Can't wait to see Jason Spezza AND Mark Giordano both be the only ones who try in game 7

1. Mark Giordano is playing better than Hampus Lindholm this year.
2. Colin Blackwell is playing better than Brandon Hagel this year.
3. 3rd Round Pick is playing better than Travis Dermott this year.

Prove me wrong.

Plays PK, tends to play up the lineup (Gourde and Panarin are his most played with teamates last 2 years), is a yappy MF and most models show him as being sound defensively while having a good shot. He's a decent bet for a pickup with little risk if it doesn't work out

Pretty fair signing to me. He's certainly got experience and he'll probably play well in TOR's schemes too. TOR didn't lose a 1st, but two 2nd and a 3rd is pretty close. The last (3) 2nds were Knies/Hirvonen/Robertson, but that's really just a compliment to TOR's scouting department. It's a pure rental which is something Dubas said he wasn't going to do again, but they needed to make a move.

I'm giving the win to Toronto, but that could change if Ron Francis does well at the draft. Or it could change if Giordano gets injured and the Leafs lose in the first round again.

The thing is we can trade down that 1st and get the 2nd back + another 3rd and continue trading down and get a pick in every round but the 1st. So in a sense we can get all capital back at the draft lul.

So lets say the pick is #25 trade down get the #30 and a 2nd and then continue on.

Leafs still need to address their bottom six depth. They won't win a round unless they do. Tampa and Florida are superior teams.

I really did not want to trade for a rental nor a particularly old player. We did both with Gio. But value is acceptable so Im okay with it.

All said and done fairly fair trade.

This is a great way to tell everyone that you aren't paying attention. The leafs bottom 6 (and 3rd line in particular) have been excellent, and they literally just got another guy in this trade to bolster it even more

I made this post 3 days ago.

https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/3130116

Based on the benchmarks I set for Ron Francis, he has fallen short.

And why should Giordano + Blackwell get less than Chiarot??

You really thought Dubas was going to give Seattle ....

Topi Niemela + 1st + 4th + 4th ????

I thought any team might have gave Seattle a solid prospect plus that package of picks for Giordano.

I only picked Toronto at the time because Giordano has stated that he wanted to be traded to Toronto.

If you notice in the post, I priced Giordano at about the same as Chiarot.

Toronto got a good deal in this market but this year's market is crazy. I think this is a fair deal.
