This seems like a sweet deal for both sides. Winnipeg gets their former breakout player back and Seattle gets a decent pick for one of their expiring deals. The Kraken technically could've gotten more back, but I feel like a 3rd is kinda the highest Appleton's price goes based on how he's been playing this season, so a 4th isn't too bad. Good job by both Seattle and Winnipeg!
A 4th rounder has less than a 50% chance of playing a single game in the NHL and about a 20% chance of playing 100 or more. Maybe Ron Francis will turn out to be an above average drafter, otherwise this is a loss for Seattle.
