Well it’s technically a 2nd but likely will become a 1st. This also means they are trading Kahkonen.

Wild need to beat the AVS, for it to become a 1st. If we do beat the AVS totally fine giving up pick #28-32 for Fleury, we would still have 3 2nd round picks, and our prospect pipeline is one of the best right now.

Nope, not one iota. Same concept as that 2nd rounder we gave you. Until proven otherwise we're still a first round exit team, we are what we are until we aren’t. Just as that 2nd is still a 2nd until it's a 1st.

You're counting your chickens before they hatch, as they say.

I'm not upset if all we get is a 2nd for a player we got for free, but i'll be rooting for the wild to make the west finals now
