Two straight TD L's for Washington.
Way overpaid for Mantha last year, and now way overpaid for Johansson

Francis' tanking for Bedard and not even hiding it anymore, it's like the 2010's era of the Oilers all over again. Looking for the same end results.

People who don't watch the sport and only look at graphs don't realize how much a liability Sprong is. He has a wicked shot tho

A 4th, a 6th and a defensive liability isn't "way overpaying" lmao

Seattle wins, Mojo's not much better than Sprong and those picks are a bit much

If you consider the trade as the 4th or 6th being for salary retention and Sprong + the other pick for MoJo. I think the defensive upgrade for the Caps bottom 6 forwards is worth the price

I mean, I'm taking Sprong over Johansson, but believe whatever you want to believe.

Sprong for Johansson 1 for 1 would have been fair.
But Washington bent over backwards and gave up picks as well.
So, it's a win for Seattle.

athletic man cards:
someone else can post the jfresh/evolving wild ones but it looks like a wash (lol) for the capitals. think they lost out on sending away draft picks.

Did Seattle just get the better player AND two picks? Granted, the 6th rounder will likely never play in the NHL, but AHL depth is important.
