1.
TOR
    Future Considerations....

Sabres will need a tender, and I just don't see many wanting to go to Buffalo right now. Yeah, Mrázek is a reclamation project, but a change of scenery should do him good. Career wise, this season is a blip imo. But it's pretty clear the Leafs aren't a fit. Ask Nick Rirchie.
    2.
    TOR
    1. Soucy, Carson
    2. 2022 4th round pick (CGY)
    Additional Details:
Leafs get a more ohysical D in Soucy, with an extra year on the contract. See this as a draft day deal.
    SEA
    1. Holl, Justin
    2. Kase, Ondrej [RFA Rights]
    Additional Details:
Seattle gets a solid Justin Holl on am expiring deal (think flip) and Kase - who gives them a scrappy RFA who can play up the line up. Kase priced himself out of Toronto.

Unlike the last couple years, there are two extra bodies on the roster.

0 teams are taking Mrazek on without getting payed to do so. He was on waivers, if there was any interest league wide, he would have been claimed.

Sabres need a 2 goalies next year. One maybe Ukko.

I am one to say the Sabres will be hard pressed to get anyone to sign there - this year was Craig Anderson at like 42 and his last hurrah.

So, is Mzárek for a bag of pucks not worth the risk? Worst case, the Pegulas are out money. Best case you get the guy who up until this year was a solid split time goalie.

The goal this year wasn’t to win, it was to develop and set up for the future. The reason we signed Craig was for his veteran leadership, and because he came at veteran minimum. If we are spending money on one, I would want a goalie that has a better save percentage than that like 42 year old you mentioned. Mrazek does not reach that.

Over his career he does actually.

And tell me.... who is Buffalo going to sign? Who WANTS to sign in Buffalo?

My argument here is anything the Sabres do I net, is likely a trade.
