Sens get a local kid who was of no use to the Bruins and they get to move up in the draft, Bruins get defensive depth and size for the playoffs

Win win

I don't really get the point of this, but GMs are all about those minor tweaks lol

Lmao what a hose job. Goodbye forever Josh Brown, you will be forgotten. Huge Ottawa dub.

Was inevitable that Zach Senyshyn would land in Ottawa.

It’s basically 2 trades:
1) A 5th to Ottawa for Josh Brown.
2) A 7th to Boston for (former 1st round pick) Zack Senyshyn.

I think both teams lost.

Josh Brown is not a very good player. Even as a physical depth rental the 5th alone is a steep price

If you look at this deeper, the 7th round pick is going to be a high one, and if the conditions are met then it’s a high 6th. The 5th is going to be late and Seny was a ufa and inevitably not going to re-sign. Bruins are only dropping a few spots or worse case scenario only 40 something spots in the draft. Bruins needed RD depth, after Cliffton it drops tremendously. This is a win win for both teams. I voted fair.

Ottawa spent a 4th on Josh Brown.

Boston spent a former 1st round pick from Ottawa + a drop of about 45 spots towards the end of the draft on Josh Brown.

Senyshyn will get a couple of games for Ottawa this season before being sent down to prevent the condition on the 7th from materializing into a 6th.

Good trade all 'round cheers

Another trade that is injury insurance, in this case in exchange for a young prospect and moving a very late pick to a merely late pick.

Bruins needed a bit of RD depth and someone who could fight, useless nhl’er but he fills the role we need him to.

If Josh Brown is on the ice you are not a playoff team. Cant believe Dorian got anything for him which means Ottawa wins this one..

Senescence still has potential to become bottom 6er. Slight edge to dorion in this one.

I just realized that Senyshyn is also a pending UFA, so that makes this a pretty insignificant trade. Boston gets a bit of insurance for almost no cost. Ottawa gets a small move up in the draft and a younger player they can test drive to see if they want to try to sign him for next year.
