Sad to see Lehky go but its a good return for the Habs. Avs fans are gonna love this guy. Playoff style depth player and clutch despite not playing tons of minutes.
With the returns Montreal is getting, you would think they'd have to be the best and deepest team in the league. Wtf Joe? Barron? For a bottom six player? C'mon man!
Is the strategy in Montreal to hype of players ad nauseum until folks who matter believe it? If so, good on you cuz it's working.

Of course, it's the fans fault🙄
Or maybe we are know the trade market better and tell less BS.
Slight overpay for Lehkonen. That said, if he’s “the extra ingredient” that gets the Avs to the Cup finals then I think it’s a worthwhile deal.
3rd lines seem to play an outsized role in recent cup winners (think HBK Line, the TBL 3rd line), so it’s not out of the question that this gives the Avs the depth they need to really take it all.

Personally I'm a habs fan, but at this trade, I think that Avs win this trade, but Barron is no prove of any good at this moment. What a joke. Is the Canadiens manager is for real? pfft!
Wow. A former 1st rounder and a 2nd round for what should be a third liner. That's just too much. Montreal gets the win. And it is a one-year contract, so the cap retention won't hurt Montreal net years.
