I’m going to start a debate here, what would be your guy’s 2017 top 3 in a re draft?

Mine would be:

Makar
Heiskanen (criminality underrated)
Robertson

Yeah this is it I think.

I could see an argument going for Pettersson over Robo since he's a C but last two years Robo has been miles ahead.

Stars take an all important W in the clash of the inconsistent.

Now we're at the Wild Card spot, ahead of Vegas and more importantly, we have 4 games less played than them.

This is starting to look good.

I'm honestly more scared of WPG over VGK and VAN at this point.

Seamus Casey

EP head scout breaks down Casey's game. It is wild. He's no Quinn Hughes, but he's no Paul Bissonnette, either. Incredibly deceptive, great hockey IQ, super shifty, really quick. My only concern is sometimes he hangs onto the puck a little bit but that can go away with 1 year in the NCAA.

Holy smokes. This is from a year or two ago, too. Against weaker competition, he looks like a generational talent. Just shows you how small guys, if they're quick and deceptive, can be just as lethal as big guys. Casey also has a rocket of a shot and sick hands.

Most scouts and draft programs have him going from 12th up to like 40th overall. I think with modern scouting views, teams will look past his size and see some sort of mix between Cale Makar and Quinn Hughes. He's quick, fast, has a great shot, and loves to rush the puck like Makar, but also is a fantastic QB, great passer, and excels at the point like Hughes.

In my hugely biased opinion, he has a top 10 if not top 5 skillset. I project him going around 14th, similar to Caufield

Defensively he is above average, I would say, but it is not his defining attribute for sure

I do like it. I haven't seen much of Kemell, which I'm looking to change sooner rather than later, but I agree with you in that the wing may be our prime focus with our lottery pick. Sounds like Gorton is high on Slafkovksy, personally I am high on Nemec, I guess it'll get clearer once we get closer to the draft.

Barabanov is such a good hockey player.

Give him a 4-6 year extension.

He's so good in all 200ft.

Instructions unclear, Barabanov signed to a 8 year, $50M contract.

He woulda just said he thought he wasn’t allowed betting on SHARKS GAMES, but the Rangers seemed like fair game. He woulda hit the over tho tonight in Calgary!

How much better is Pettersson than Hischier? Like its not an insane upgrade.

Im fine with Hischier because we already filled out the other needs. We got Hughes as 1C instead of Pettersson and Hamilton as 1RD over Makar

Pettersson is considerably better than Hischier and Makar is certainly better than Hamilton. Obviously hindsight is 20/20 however Hischier probably isn’t even a top 5 pick if there were to be a re-draft

Past two years Pettersson has been pretty rough due to injuries and the fact that the Canucks are dog water. I’d think a redraft would go
1. Makar
2. Pettersson
3. Heiskanen
4. Robertson
5. Suzuki/Hischier

Vancouver is out of the race at this point. 0 hope for them to make the playoffs. At this point I’m hoping they get a top 12 pick or at least get a good RHD like Seamus Casey
