I’m happy debrusk is sticking around. They weren’t going to find a better option for their lineup. Off-season problem now.
Happy with the brown pickup.
Thrilled with the lindholm addition.

I like it, no point selling low on a guy just because he wants out, he’s looked good on the 1st line. The extension helps with moving him in the summer.

Also, all the teams reportedly that were in on Copp landed someone else, except the Bruins. Something to keep an eye on, especially if WPG said they were for sure going to trade him today

Ya I guess. Was kind of hoping Sweeney would be in on Rakell. He was really the only option that I wanted to see come over today.

Defense core looks a lot better and meaner for the playoffs. Certainly a good thing.
Was kind of hoping to see Rakell come our way, but wishful thinking.

it all kinda depends on how Debrusk was valued throughout the league. If there was a Rakell or Copp for Debrusk + a little something, I'm disappointed. If he was essentially a throw in on any deals for one of those guys and a deal would've had to be Debrusk+2nd+prospect (Studnicka?) Im happy he stayed put.

We acquired the best defensemen on the market without giving up our top 4 prospects. Im ok with that. People saying we aren't cup contenders are crazy, 2nd most wins in the NHL since Jan 1st. and they got better. Its going to be damn hard to score against these guys in the playoffs

Wasn't Copp traded to NYR?

Rangers got Motte instead. Heard there were talks for Copp but didn’t see anything get finalized

Edit: Starting to come out the Rangers sent two 2nds for Copp

Only going to be one happy team team in the Atlantic after two rounds of at the playoffs. Three fine teams in the Atlantic too. Should be some intense hockey in the East.
Agree with you on DeBrusk. If anything he signed and that provides certainly to team that may want to trade for him in the summer.

The rumored return for Rakell was a 2nd + roster player + prospect so I think its safe to assume that your latter deal for Rakell was what was on the table from the B's
