He should be fired for what he’s done in the past. He had a great deadline though.

Not for today. I'd give him a solid A-

Didn't love the package for Lindholm, thought it was too much. Then I heard that he immediately started talking extension, then signed for 8 years, so that a good deal for Boston.

Like the Josh Brown deal a lot, a guy we can use rotationally that will add a lot of mean to the back end. Solid Playoff move without giving up anything important.

Only things I'm a little sad to give away was the 2022 1st, cuz this draft is looking nuts, and Vaak because it looked like he was finally coming into his own in the NHL, but overall I'm satisfied.

Didn't do anything to deserve to be fired. Doug Armstrong on the other hand.

Another whiner. Don’t we have enough already?

I said all along they would make 1 big move as that’s all they had the assets for unless it was stripped bare.

They got the best LD on the market. Extended him. Added a depth physical RD with size. Did not give away the future for rentals.

Signed Debrusk to get rid of the QO to make him easier to move in the off-season.

Did not cripple the cap next year.

Oh and dumped Moore.

Damn good deadline.

Yet Wendy Whiner here….🙄

which deal would you have liked sweenay to do? it easy to say they should have got jt miller for a second round pick, but you have to look at what other teams are offering.

He should've been fired a long time ago.
I do like the Lindholm trade and extension. But it looks like our plan for a playoff run is going to be winning games 1-0. Our defense should be solid but who the hell is gonna score besides our top 2 lines?

Who is going to score for us outside of our first two lines?

I agree with what you have said for the most part. Except I still can't figure out who is going to be productive outside of our first two lines (minus Haula). Any additional depth guys would have been better than another Goon at RD.

Haven’t been paying attention in 2022? The third line is absolutely lighting it up. They’re fifth in goals in 2022. Cmon bud.

I'm not saying we needed another big splash. I like the Lindholm move and extension, but we needed additional offensive depth.

Getting and locking lindholm was great and signing debrusk keeps him happy even if its not the trade he wanted. Sure brown is bad but he probably doesn't see much ice. Another forward would have been nice but lets face it this team will go as far as the special teams and goaltending will take them. Nothing you could have added today would have caught you up too Florida, Tampa or Carolina.

100%. This strikes me as a guy that would’ve been upset if they got lindholm, chychrun, and giroux. “Cmon don, you couldn’t get hertl!”

LOL, not at all. Read my replies above and you'll see that I said that I'm happy with the Lindholm move but we needed more scoring depth. We extended Debruk to move him then didn't move him..?

As of late the third line has been good, but what happens when they go back to doing nothing?

So not making a trade to try to get better to compete with those teams in the right answer?

I understand we don't have great prospects to compete with other teams when it comes to trading for guys like Giroux or Rakell, but I just figured Sweeney extended Debrusk to trade him for a new piece that could mesh well with this team. Like the MoJo trade a few years ago. Wasn't a big splash but he productive!

Rakell isn’t very good. Same production as debrusk
Giroux wouldn’t agree to go to boston.

Just because you haven’t been paying attention doesn’t mean you should be whining

I did. Your complaining either just to complain, or because you didn’t know what was going on.

Sometimes you don't get your guy, I was hoping they'd pony up for copp but no such luck. Giroux was never an option. Remember getting hall for nothing last year, this year it was giroux.

Except this team is supposed to be contending because this could be "the last run with Bergy". Yet Sweeney doesn't add any offensive pieces to help.

Again, I am not complaining, just stating my opinion and you came here to **** about my opinion. Yet you haven't given me any actual opinions of your own.
You look at this offense and you see them as contenders? You wouldn't have at least tried to make other moves?
