Looking good! The value seems to be fair on both sides, everybody gets what they want.

My biggest question: Does Copp end up re-signing in New York after this season?

Maybe I'm undervaluing Copp, but this seems like a very big haul for him. I voted fair deal, but I think Jets win this trade short and long term.

Would reckon a lot of Jets fans are going to be hopping on the Shesterkin bandwagon since that 2nd to 1st condition is a sizable jump.

They had to do it and we’re likely waiting for team to offer a 1st. This is likely as good as it will get unfortunately. But 2nd round picks (with the possibility of a 1st) isn’t amazing, it’s still quite decent.

Both teams win, so in my mind that makes a Fair Deal.

Ceiling of a solid bottom 6'er who can play all positions and situations

Thought he really didn't get a good shot in the NHL. Has the ceiling of a decent 3c but also has ability to play any position. Basically a younger version of Copp if he hits his full potential.

The only way the rangers win this deal is if they don't make the conference finals and they resign copp to a team friendly deal. Or they win the Cup this year.

On paper yes this favors WPG, but that's also relying on Barron hitting his potential as a 3c. If he doesn't break into the NHL this has the potential to be a big win for the rangers.

Fair deal. Rangers continue to push for the Cup and continue their bottom 6. Not sure who Barron is, but considering that it’s high that the Rangers win 2 playoff rounds and Copp playing 50% of the games it’s a pretty fair deal for both teams.

decent bottom 6 potential, well above what would be expected form a 6th round pick, but wasn't really given much of a shot in NY

Some players that are similar or better compared to Copp have been traded for less before.

The conditions on both of the second round picks seem to favour the Jets.

And Copp is almost certainly a rental for the Rangers.

Jets win.
