1.
MTL
  1. Nadeau, Olivier [Reserve List]
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (VGK)
Additional Details:
Buffalo have a lot of cap space. Looking at a right handed defenseman, Petry have been a disappointment this season but that a buy low situation that could turn out in a great opportunity for Buffalo. Petry can’t be worst then he was in the first 4 month.
2.
MTL
  1. Gourde, Yanni
Additional Details:
Gourde would be a perfect centerman for Gallagher. I think that Gallagher could return at a 20 + pace with a speedy centerman who can distribute de puck.
SEA
  1. Dvorak, Christian
  2. Kapanen, Oliver [Reserve List]
  3. Norlinder, Mattias
Additional Details:
Seattle continue to had prospect and could use Dvorak as a trade bait later when is stock is higher.
3.

Kent Hugues said in press conference he's wondering if it's better for the Montreal Canadiens to give picks to another team to take Jeff Petry's contract, or keep him

There 20 games left for him to rise is stock. I expect him to Have a lot of ice time. Thing might change when the draft come. Personally i would be more inclined to pay to get rid of Armia and keep Petry next year since we might suck terribly against next year. That roster will be inexperienced on the back end and we will have a difficult time to score goal again this year. But will see.

Personally, I'm not a fan of adding such prospects in a Dvorak-Gourde swap. They're not competing anyways.

I am not a big fan of neither of them and we will not be able to all qualify them to contract so we better use them. Here i forgot to mentioned that is was one of those 2 my bad.

He said that in french : Est-ce que c'est mieux d'avoir Jeff Petry que de donner des choix a d'autres équipes pour prendre son salaire.

Is it better to keep Petry, or give picks to another team to take his salary.

My bad I missed that part
We shouldn’t trade Petry if we can’t get a good return

I agree. If he really wants out of MTL, he's gonna have to raise his value by playing well.

Don't see the need to send prospects to Seattle to only slightly improve. Especially since Dvorak is younger and has a smaller cap hit for less years.

Montreal won’t be able to retain all their prospect. They have 50 contract max to offer and both of then remain good prospect but are not that high in Montreal prospect depth chart. On the left their Harris, Guhle, Romanov, Edmundson, Xhekaj. At center Kapanen fall behing Kidney, Mysak, and i assume they will draft either Cooley or Wright with a little luck this year. Giving one good prospect to acquire a guy’s that might regain Gallagher stock a little bit could be a very good thing. Dvorak is a good player but don’t fit the high pace gane that Montreal is playing right now.

We need a GOOD RD, not Petry
      ZERO CHANCE

Congrats on getting a 1st for Lehkonen though!

Barron is worth more than a 1st. And they added a 2nd.

Good luck finding a good RD who wants to go to Buffalo. Especially one your owners can afford.

Well, we were right about Chiarot and Lehkonen

I said i'd be happy if we get Lundkvist or Barron for Lehkonen. They added a 2nd

The OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of Habs fans here were posting trades like Barron AND a 1st
      And that was dead wrong
Sorry u can’t admit that u guys overvalued him,
      but ya did

And u guys were saying the same thing about Chiarot:
      a 1st AND a really good prospect, which u didn’t get either

      YOU GUYS OVERVALUED BOTH

      AND WE DON’T WANT PETRY
That’s just something you’re gonna have to deal with

Yeah sure everyone who thought that chariot was worth a second round pick and Lehkonen a third round pick was knowing everything there need to be said about hockey.
Everyone is pissed because Habs fan where right all along and that is hurting some feelings for a lot of people around here. Now even after Hugues got those traded done people are still denied that Montreal players was evaluated mostly pretty accurate by their fan. But find will keep Petry and send him when we got a good return. Have a nice season ending.

      Habs fans were NOT correct
U guys all kept posting how you’d get a 1st AND a good prospect for Chiarot & Lehkonen
You guys OVERESTIMATED what you’d get
And yes, many ppl also underestimated what you’d get also
But that doesn’t make you guys right
      Just makes both sides incorrect

And you’ll never get a great return for Petry either
U might get a decent one, but probably not a good one

And i will enjoy the end of the season
Especially since we’re above u guys in the standings

When we get a good return for Petry, just like we did with Chiarot, Lehkonen and Brett Kulak. Hi will have a moment of silence in your honor. You know what feel amazing?
Being right all that time, this moment of satisfaction when the trade happen and everyone that have roasted me are suddenly invisible. Awesome feeling.

And you guys didn’t get the good prospect for Chiarot, just the 1st
U crazy Habs fans were just overestimating the worth of your players- and you DID NOT get the wild returns most of u said u would
