With MTL defensive pipeline, I dont think they will draft a defenseman. The draft have so many great forward prospect. At 5-6 overall i would love to see Nazar

Nemec is surely a top 5 lock but Jiricicek I see him more at 7-10

Too high for Pitlick, Romanov and Wideman. Wideman likely won't be resigned anyway and You are missing the BIG FA splash that Hughes eluded to.

Crazy how after trading away Chiarot and Lehkonen, and in the offseason only resigned two players to 2 mil and 2.5 mil Montreal is back to not having any cap space

Hughes offseason should be including moving Gallagher and Petry. Gallagher nets a decent return, Petry, for what he can still do should be excellent.

Ya very true. Because IMO if Price is back next year this roster still is somewhat decent and there's a good chance if Petry, Gallagher, and Suzuki all have bounce back seasons this team is back in that weird Philadelphia flyers zone of just out the playoffs but not a lottery team

I don’t think MTL will draft Jiricek personnally. Maybe Nemec if they pick 3 or 4. With Guhle, Barron, Mailloux, Romanov, Harris, Norlinder the defensive prospect pool is looking good. I think they’ll go Wright, Slafkovsky, Cooley, Nemec, Savoie in that order

But if we pick 7-8-9

I like Jiricek but Habs arent picking outside the top 5 (id be shocked/pissed lol).
