Jury is out on whether Leddy is going to have a positive impact or not but it was absolutely necessary to make a move for a d-man. Blues' healthy top-9 doesn't need any bolstering; I do like Rakell tho and his price was one of the more reasonable ones, too. I'm looking over all of the trades and none of the buyers really got any good deals. Wish the Blues would've abused LTIR and put Sunny there instead of in the trade.

The prices were massively high and the Blues got a decently ok deal for a bigger name. I mean Lauzon got a 2nd, the man has 6 points and isn’t even that sick of a defender. Boston gave up a lot for Lindholm too which is what the Blues other option was but I think that would have been too much to give up plus resigning him would be hard without moving a guy next year. Sunny off the books helps next year too and Army even said he was an expensive 10th man who’s replaceable internally.
